Is located near the village of Kameni Hora and the climbing in the area offers an unforgettable experience. It is a trip of about half an hour . We meet several geological lava formations with strange shapes and end up on top with panoramic views of the Saronic Gulf. Visitors are walking through the area where it has stabilized red lava from volcanic eruptions 22 centuries ago.
Turtle route
The Turtle route (the highest peak of Methana) starts in Megalochori and ends at Kameni, lasting 4-5 hours with stops necessary for relaxation and exploration. The route passes through wooded areas and meets many traditional villages.
Old Baths - Agios Nikolaos Beach
In the northeastern part of the island at a distance of 14 km from the town are the Old Baths. It is a mountain village with stone houses. At the foot of the mountain are villages and there is the beautiful beach of Agios Nikolaos. There gush two of the best known hot springs of Methana. The source of Pausanias with water at 29.5oC and the source of St. Nicholas where works a Therapeutic Center with 20 seats and the source water is 41oC.
