Throni
There were discovered remarkable archaeological monuments. Among them an ancient stone throne, the mill ruins of the 3rd century BC and cisterns. Located above the Megalochori in Throni plateau.
Castle of Favieros
A 19th century fort on a hill on the narrow stripe of land connecting the Methana peninsula with Peloponnese. The castle was built in 1826 by the French philhellene general Charles Nicolas Favier, who there organized the first regular army of the new Greek state.
